COMMERCIAL TRANSPARENCY

Affiliate Disclosure

How SiteBaba uses affiliate links, sponsorships and other commercial relationships without turning editorial content into a disguised sales pitch.

Last updated: 18 August 2026 · Contact: SiteBaba Contact page
Important: This page is a practical website policy drafted for SiteBaba's current Australian-oriented setup. It should be reviewed when the legal operator, products, data flows or service providers materially change.

1. The short version

Some links on SiteBaba may be affiliate links. If you click one of those links and later buy or sign up for something, SiteBaba may receive a commission or other benefit from the merchant or affiliate network.

The commercial relationship should not determine the editorial verdict. SiteBaba's goal is to recommend a tool or platform only when the reasoning still makes sense without the commission.

2. How affiliate links are identified

Where practical, affiliate or sponsored commercial links are labelled or disclosed in the page, article or tool profile where they appear. Technical link attributes such as “sponsored” may also be used.

A page-level affiliate disclosure may be used where multiple commercial links appear in the same article.

3. Pricing and your purchase

An affiliate relationship means SiteBaba may be compensated for a referral. It does not guarantee that the merchant's current price is the lowest price available, and it does not guarantee that every user will see the same offer.

Prices, discounts, trials, availability, taxes and product terms are controlled by the relevant merchant and can change. Check the merchant's current terms before buying.

4. Reviews and recommendations

A higher commission should not produce a better SiteBaba verdict. Reviews and comparisons should explain the user context, strengths, limitations and trade-offs rather than hiding them behind an arbitrary score.

A product can have an affiliate relationship and still receive a negative, mixed or “not for this user” conclusion. A product without an affiliate program can still be recommended.

5. Tool Directory

Where available, SiteBaba may keep an official product destination separate from the commercial affiliate destination. This helps users distinguish the product itself from SiteBaba's commercial referral link.

Being listed in the Tool Directory does not automatically mean a product is endorsed.

6. Sponsorships and paid placements

If SiteBaba accepts a sponsorship, paid placement or other material commercial arrangement, it should be identified clearly enough that a reasonable reader can understand the relationship.

Paid access to an audience does not buy a fabricated testimonial, fake review, hidden ranking advantage or guaranteed positive editorial coverage.

7. Free products, trials and access

If a company provides free access, a review account, software credits, a sample or another material benefit that is relevant to an editorial piece, SiteBaba should disclose that relationship where it could reasonably affect how readers interpret the content.

8. Accuracy of commercial claims

Commercial claims should be accurate, supportable and presented with important limitations. SiteBaba does not intend to publish fake reviews, fabricated testing, invented usage claims or misleading promotional statements.

If a merchant changes a price, feature, plan or offer after publication, SiteBaba may update the relevant content when the change is identified.

9. Questions or concerns

If you believe an affiliate relationship has not been disclosed clearly, or a commercial claim appears inaccurate or outdated, contact SiteBaba through the Contact page.

Commercial relationships should be obvious.

If something looks unclear, use the SiteBaba Contact page. SiteBaba would rather correct an ambiguous disclosure than make readers guess whether money is influencing the page.
